Sjt K E C (Ken) Warmington (22499051). Served with the 1st Bn Oxfordshire & Buckinghamshire Light Infantry 1949-53. Later served with the 4th Bn. In 1973 took over the running of the Henley Coy, Oxfordshire ACF. From 1972-87 he ran the Royal Greenjacket pub, named as such at his request, in Chester Rd, Oxford. Died 12 November 2016 aged 84.
WO2 D H S (Dennis) Offord (22702933). Served with the 1st Bn Oxfordshire & Buckinghamshire Light Infantry August 1952 – August 1954 then 4th Bn until 1986. He was on the Committee of the 43rd & 52nd OCA until it  nished and also served for several years on the Committee of the Friends of the Oxf & Bucks Lt Infantry. Died November 2016.
Lt R K (Bob) Mullard (467056). Commissioned into 1GJ(43rd&52nd) on 8th October 1960 and initially in B Coy. Promoted to Lieutenant 17th July 1962 and served in the Far East during the Brunei revolt. Represented the Regiment at rowing v the Penang Rowing Club. To the Reserve Of cers List 25.4.1963. Service  nished 8 October 1968. Worked for Esso Petroleum. Died 10 November 2014.
Cpl I M (Ian) Anderson (22461935). Served with the 1st Bn Oxfordshire & Buckinghamshire Light Infantry (Corunna Pl, A Coy) from 15 February 1951 to February 1953 and then with the 4th Bn until 1956. Saw service in Egypt and Cyprus and was an active member of the Canal Zoners and Oxford Branch of the RGJA. He also formed part of the honour guard for almost every repatriation from Afghanistan at the  nal turn into the John Radcliff Hospital. Died 25 December 2016 aged 84.
Pte A F (Bert) Butland (5381886). Served with the 4th Bn, Oxfordshire & Buckinghamshire Light Infantry from May 1934 to discharge on 5 March 1944. As part of the BEF fought with C Coy in the heroic stand at Cassel on the Dunkirk perimeter in late May 1940. In this battle he was seriously wounded and taken prisoner being subsequently repatriated to the UK in 1943. Died 28 December 2016 aged 98.
L/Cpl J F (John) Berger. Served as an instructor with the 5th Bn, Oxfordshire & Buckinghamshire Light Infantry 1944-45 in Northern Ireland. Marxist thinker, Art critic (New Statesman 1952-62), Broad- caster and Booker Prize winning novelist. Moved to a remote area in the Haute-Savoie in France in 1962. Died in Paris 2 January 2017 aged 90.
WO1 G (Geoff) Arthurs (14478667). Service commenced 27 July 1945. To 1st Bn Oxfordshire & Buckinghamshire Light Infantry 21 August 1946. Service continued with 1GJ (43rd & 52nd) and the RGJ until 31 March 1968 reaching the rank of WO1. He was PSI of D Coy, Oxf & Bucks Lt Infantry (TA) at High Wycombe on his return to the UK in 1964. Geoff spent a considerable amount of time seconded from the regiment with 5 tours of East Africa, including one as RQMS of the 2nd Bn Uganda Ri es for a short time at the start of 1964, and 1 of West Africa learning two African languages. In later years he was active in the 43rd & 52nd OCA at Slade Park. Died 29 January 2017 aged 88.
Rfn V C (Vince) Wellington (24110303). Enlisted on 2nd November 1966 and served in 1RGJ in A Coy and the Mortar Pl until 1977. In recent years Vince was a stauch supporter and volunteer with the Veterans charity. Died 19 February 2017 aged 67.
Pte P F (Peter) Buller (22865761). Enlisted as a National Serviceman in April 1953 and served in A Coy 1st Bn Oxfordshire & Buckinghamshire Light Infantry in Germany until April 1955 with 3 years subsequent TA service with the 4th Bn. Died 28 February 2017 aged 82.
Pte C T (Cyril) Craddock (14948977). Enlisted on 15 March 1945 and was posted to 1st Bn Oxford- shire & Buckinghamshire Light Infantry with whom he served until demob on 19 January 1948. Served in No 1 Pl, A Coy in Northern Europe latterly tree felling at Luneberg. Died 6 March 2017.
Sgt H E (Harold) Buckley (5379477). Enlisted on 14 June 1929 at Darjeeling, India into the 2nd Bn Oxfordshire & Buckinghamshire Light Infantry who his father was serving with at the time. After service in India & Burma he returned to the UK on 18 July 1940 and served in the UK including N.Ireland latterly in the Medical Section until demob on 10 February 1946. Rejoining again on 15 September 1946 he served with the 1st Bn in the BAOR 26 May 1948 to 7 April 1949 and then the Middle East Land Force from 1 June 1949 to 1 November 1951. He served with the BAOR again from 18 July 1953 as CQMS, B Coy 1st Bn until 22 July 1954 when he returned to the UK and was placed on the reserve until  nal discharge on 28 December 1955. He was also a cornet player in the regimental band. Died 16 March 2017 aged 101.
Pte S J (Stan) Royle (14802399). Enlisted in the General Service Corps. Transferred to A Coy 1st Bn Oxfordshire & Buckinghamshire Light Infantry (43rd) 31 August 1944 and fought with them through Europe to Germany. Transferred to 2nd Bn KSLI as part of the potential Far East invasion force but the surrender of Japan meant a  nal posting to the emerging state of Israel. After a chance meeting with a former wartime opponent Stan made many recon- ciliatory visits to the Reichswald in Germany. Died 11 May 2017.
Pte W A (Bill) Adams (14414513). Enlisted in the General Service Corps. Transferred to A Coy 1st Buckinghamshire Battalion of the Oxfordshire & Buckinghamshire Light Infantry 3 March 1943. Landed in Normandy with them on 6 June 1944 as part of No 6 Beach Group. 13 August 1944 one of 150 men and 3 of cers transferred to 7th Bn Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders. Died 5 June 2017 aged 92.
Cpl W R (Wilfred) Howard (6854346). Enlisted KRRC 70th Young Soldiers Bn. Transferred to 2nd Bn Oxfordshire & Buckinghamshire Light Infantry (52nd) 25 June 1942. Took part in the Coup de Main raid on Pegasus Bridge in Glider No 5 as part of No 23 Pl D Coy under Lt Sweeney. To Z Class TA reserve 7 December 1946. Died 19 March 2017.
