exercise also saw a number of international press deploy to the training area to highlight the on-going work of 2 RIFLES and the ANPN in Gabon.
The STTT received wide media coverage in line with public interest with the Counter Poaching objectives. Whilst it took the participants into a new environment in terms of animal protection, much of the familiar defence engagement fundamentals were required through the training: exibility and the need to nd local solutions that would survive the test of time and a lack of native funding. The integration of subject matter experts from across the Field Army, linguists, trackers and CP intelligence experts meant the team could really expand on the foundations laid by the previous two STTTs. The implementation of management training was well received by the ANPN and will be continued and developed upon during STTT 4, due late 2017.
