Our budding actors in the Dreamers are climbing beanstalks!
Look out, there’s a sprinkling of panto magic about to hit town - not to mention a giant beanstalk, panto dame and good triumphing over evil. Get ready to boo and cheer as tickets for Thrapston’s very own pantomime go on sale at the start of this month (January).
The team at Thrapston Dreamers are now in the final weeks of rehearsals ahead of their performances of ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’
at Thrapston Plaza on Friday 15th and Saturday 16th February. They’re promising a show that combines all the traditional panto ingredients combined with song, dance and laughs for some great entertainment, all brought to the stage by the 50-strong team of talented young people – the Dreamers.
Join the Dreamers’ audience and you’ll find the traditional story of Jack and his impoverished family, magic beans, a fast- growing beanstalk and an ogre who should
know better - all interspersed with stage- filling dance routines and the Dreamers’ own take on some modern song classics. The show will be the fourth pantomime that the team has brought to the stage, and - for the first time - the cast at The Plaza will be made up entirely of children and young people.
“We have a wonderful bunch of young performers and backstage crew who between them have put in hundreds of hours of rehearsing, learning lines, practising dance routines and preparing sets”, said show producer Lindsay Latimer. “They are all looking forward to putting on a memorable show that we know all of our Dreamers team will be proud of.”
