for their support during 2018. Not only has the WI sponsored the window boxes outside the council offices, presenting
a cheerful floral display, but they have
also done a great job of providing the refreshments at this season’s Movie Matinees. Thank you, ladies, your ongoing support is very much appreciated.
NEW DEFIBRILLATOR
IN THRAPSTON
SADS UK (Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome) has kindly donated a defibrillator unit to the Council. This has been installed on the outside wall of the Crazy4Kids nursery on the corner of Huntingdon Road and Highfield Road, Thrapston. Many thanks to SADS
for providing this potentially lifesaving equipment. Huge thanks also to Crazy4Kids for housing the unit and to Wrights Electrics for installing the unit.
ANNUAL TOWN MEETING 2019
The annual town meeting is to be held on Tuesday 16th April 2019 so “save the
date”. We will, in the new year, be looking for your nominations for recipients of the Town Awards. So get your thinking caps on as to who you would like to nominate for their contributions to the community.
CCTV UPDATE
All the cameras around the town have now been upgraded providing more coverage and better-quality images.
The cameras have been installed at the Plaza but we are currently waiting on an upgrade to the wireless connection – we expect this to be carried out soon. The final cameras are due to be installed at the Skate Park once the ground works have been done; again, we expect these works to be completed soon.
...AND FINALLY, WE WELCOME “BABY BARFIELD”
Town Council employee Melanie Barfield left on maternity leave at the end of October. We are delighted
to announce that she gave birth to a beautiful girl on 27th November weighing in at 8lb 11oz. Mother and baby are doing fine.
Many congratulations to “The Barfields” on their new arrival.
