Award Ceremony at DATR
In an event presented by Brigadier JD Webster, Commandant of the Royal
School of Military Engineering Group, the Defence Animal Training Regiment (DATR) celebrated the outstanding achievements of its personnel. Among the honorees were Captain Bladon from the Royal Army Veterinary Corps (RAVC)
and Sergeant Mahoney, also from the RAVC, recognised for their exemplary service and dedication.

Bladon was honoured with a prestigious Commander Field
Army Commendation. This recognition was bestowed upon Captain Bladon for his exceptional contributions to overseas operations and crucial projects within the United Kingdom. His unwavering commitment and expertise have significantly impacted various missions, reflecting his dedication to excellence in service.
Sergeant Mahoney, assigned to the RAVC Initial Trade Training, received the Long Service and Good Conduct medal, marking 15 years of exemplary military service.
Throughout his distinguished career, Sergeant Mahoney has served with distinction in various roles within the Parachute Regiment and the Royal Army Veterinary Corps. His steadfast dedication, professionalism and commitment to duty have been commendable, earning him the respect and admiration of his peers and superiors alike.
