MEMBERSHIP
Salcombe Yacht Club is a warm and welcoming Club which is proud of its rich sailing heritage and aware of its importance in the splendid cruising area of the South West coast. We provide many opportunities for sailing and social activities for our members.
There are many benefits of being a member including:
• Unlimited access to the Club facilities and the “best view in
town”!
• 10% Discount on food and beverages at SYC.
• Attending social functions held at the Club.
• The opportunity to book and sail one of our Club boats.*
• Reciprocal use as a visiting yachtsmen with other RYA Clubs.
• Booking the Club facilities for private functions including
weddings, birthdays etc.
• Many opportunities to sail: Club Series racing from March to
New Year’s Day!, Crewing for Cruisers, Open Meetings, Cadet Sessions, Ladies that Launch and RYA Courses.
*The following restrictions apply - you must have your own powercraft to act as a rescue boat and any damage must be paid for. This is not available to cadet only membership except for those who become race proficient and would like to join the Saturday afternoon racing.

Family membership is for married couples or established partners who live at the same address and any children 17 years or under.
Senior Personal and Senior Joint membership is for people who are 70 years or older.
Cadet Membership is free to all children age 17 and under (as of 1st January) included in a family membership, but there is a fee for cadet only membership. Parents of cadet only members are welcome to use the club facilities (bar, catering and terrace) during and immediately after cadet sessions. Please note, the cadet only membership does not include 10% discount on food and beverages.
Berthing, Watch House and Kayak spaces are limited. Please contact the office for availability.
