Supporting officers and their families for life
Andrew and Karen Orgill meet HM The Queen in the Old College Conference Room after the Sovereign’s Parade, 2006 (Courtesy of Tempest Photography Ltd)
tant General’s Commendation by the Comman- dant in 2005.
Less well-known are Andrew’s feats on the foot- ball Field of Dreams, where his stamina built up as a marathon runner, leaves us other middle- aged players in the dust like the ‘also-rans’ in the Duracell bunny advert. However, for the
non-football fraternity he will be remembered for searching out facts like a truffle hunter (an appro- priate vegan allusion given his diet), when he always went the extra mile to get the information the Officer Cadets and Academic Staff needed, and will therefore be much missed. Good luck Andrew for the future.
