The George is a family pub. They pride themselves in providing great value, high quality, freshly cooked, homemade restaurant food in generous portions.
What type of cuisine do you offer? Stone- baked pizzas from our log-fire oven, sizzling homemade 100% British beef burgers, 28 day aged steak fresh from the grill and our seasonal a la carte dishes that we change monthly to keep everything interesting.
What’s the best selling dish on your menu?
Our delicious individual homemade steak and ale pie – it sells as quickly as we can make them.
...and what drink to accompany it? We serve traditional real ales including Doombar, four premium lagers with one being Cruzcampo imported from Spain, delicious wines and a large selection of gins.
Where do you source your ingredients? We source all our food from local suppliers and award winning butchers.
Any special offers available? Loads! Just too many to mention here, so check out our website.
Are you open every day? Yes, we are open seven days a week.
Reserve a table or just walk in? You are always best to book as we can get quite busy, however you are always welcome to just walk in and we will try our best to accommodate you.
What is the current highlight? Our Christmas Fayre Menu, two Courses £21, three Courses £26. Available at all our food service sittings there is no better way to celebrate Christmas with Family or Friends.
Can your premises be hired out for private parties? We do hire out the back room for private parties, catered for with a range of options and prices to match your budget.
