 FARMER’S MARKET
    TASTY
TREATS
Farmer’s Market news
Thrapston Farmers Market is held on the first Saturday of each month, 9am to 1pm on High Street. We have a wide range of locally produced food and drink stalls – here we feature a couple you can expect to see at the next market on Saturday 6th November.
New fresh fish stall – Farrells’ Fish
We’re so pleased that after a couple of
years without a fresh fish van in town, we
have welcomed Paul Farrell. A passionate, knowledgeable fishmonger, you can find him
on High Street every first Saturday from 9am
to 1pm. He brings along a wide range of great tasting, sustainable fish – always fresh and never frozen – direct from Grimsby Fish Docks where he is based. He hand picks the product at the docks himself, prepares it ready for you to cook, and displays it in his brand new refrigerated van. Several days a week you will find Paul at his shop on Market Harborough Indoor Market, but we are lucky to have booked him for Thrapston! He sells salmon, seabass, seabream, cod, haddock, plaice, halibut, prawns, crab, mackerel, mussels, oysters and scallops.
If you have a special request, call Paul on 07730 601644. Or come along to a market to see what he has!
The Fruity Farmer – fruity gins and spirits which make great gifts!
The Letts family farm is based in Stoke Goldington near Newport Pagnell where they grow a wide variety of fruits which they use to make their delicious range of seasonal alcoholic spirits, Sloe Gin, Limoncello, Rhubarb Gin, Cherry Brandy, Quince Gin, Gooseberry Gin, Raspberry Vodka & more!
Available when in season and sold in attractive 200ml and 500ml glass bottles which make lovely gifts. Why not stock up for Christmas?
Also grown on the farm is oilseed rape, which is made into cold-pressed Rapeseed Oil. This light oil is great for salad dressings and for frying and baking. New to the range is a collection of soap bars made using rapeseed oil in various natural flavours - Lemon Lime Sublime, Tangy Turmeric & Lavender Swirl. Another super gift idea!
The Fruity Farmer is at the upcoming market on November 6th – their last market before Christmas. As they run a busy farm they come along on select months each year, so please contact us or check our social media to confirm attendance. www.thrapstonfarmersmarket.moonfruit.com
