OC TMWDSU advised AMD late April 2007 that a consolidated UOR concerning mine clearance equipment and EDD would be staffed to PJHQ. integrated to the IRT at BSN, therefore providing support to Helmand Province where the majority of mine strikes occurred. All Engineers within the AOR who took part in the discussion believed that EDD was another capability that could assist in the fight against the mine menace.
