and professionalism. The members of the FSG Platoon had unmatched access to the Heavy Weapon systems that they employ. The ammunition, and instructional time on these systems has given those deployed confidence and an unmatched opportunity to perfect their individual skills.
D Company now looks forward to Ex ASKARI STORM in Kenya. The lessons learnt during the last year will be brought forward and developed during this high intensity exercise. Expeditionary tactics and skills will further be developed whilst the harsh training environment tests and hardens the individual’s ability to survive and fight.
With a certain amount of predictability, every year brings a change in key personnel; the Company says goodbye to Maj Skillen who has moved to APC Glasgow and looks forward to enabling the MERCIAN Merger, we wish him every success and good luck in his new post. Capt Williams has moved
to OPTAG from FSG Commander and Capt Bell has been posted to IBS Brecon having relinquished command of Recce and they have been replaced by Capt Scott and Capt Vause respectively to whom we extend a warm welcome.
