The Society aims to encourage and facilitate the study and preservation of local history.They hold monthly meetings, visit places of historical interest and producing a quarterly magazine, The Risdene Echo.They also continue to
place blue plaques in the town commemorating events, people or buildings of interest (please visit website for more details).

Rushden Hearts and Soles
The Society supports the Rushden Research Group and their website, Hearts and Soles on the history of the town and district. www.rushdenheritage.co.uk
    The School of Archaeology and Ancient History, University of Leicester
The School is working in partnership with the Chester House Estate and stakeholders across the region, to facilitate access to archaeological research and heritage in Northamptonshire and beyond. It offers learning programmes, research opportunities and archaeological training for all ages and welcomes proposals for collaboration.
