Our local Trefoil Guild
The Oundle & Thrapston Trefoil Guild is looking for new members. We are a very friendly group who meet once a month and get together for a wide variety of activities including:
• Fun quizzes and games evenings
• A wide variety of speakers – past examples include: beekeepers, police, gardening tips
and local history
• Christmas carol service
• Refreshments, friendship and laughter at
every meeting
There are also many opportunities to take part in a wider variety of activities including:
• Opportunities for foreign travel with the
Trefoil Region: Sri Lanka being the most recent
• Trefoil County Events including residential
weeks, weekends away and day trips
• Craft days, for example basket weaving,
felting, card making etc
Being a member of Trefoil affords us many opportunities both for as individuals and in our counties, countries and regions. Wherever we go in the world and meet with other members of Trefoil, Girlguiding, or Girl Scouting, we
know that we are sharing a common bond. The Trefoil Guild remains a testament to the
enduring appeal of the Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting ethos. It exemplifies the idea that the spirit of service, friendship, and adventure does not end with youth, it can be a lifelong journey.
Membership is open to all, as long as you are aged 18 or over. As a place to find friendship and get involved, you can be flexible with how Trefoil works for you. You don’t have to be a member of Girlguiding or Scouts to be a member of Trefoil, but you can be if you would like.
We meet every second Wednesday of the month, usually 7pm at Aldwinkle Village Hall. Full programme available on request. Current members come from Oundle and Thrapston
and all villages in the surrounding area, often sharing lifts. Our next meeting is on 9th October and is a Bring & Share Supper. We would love to welcome you to our friendly group.
