Plot project

Saturday 31st August 2019 saw the official opening of the Lymington Road Allotment Association Communal Plot.
This was the culmination of a long- term liaison between the Town Council, who sponsored the project and made the area available, and additional sponsorship from Ageless Thanet and Bugsy’s Ten Pin Bowling, as well as a lot of hard work from plotholders to ensure the plot was ready for the erection of a new shed and laying of a patio area.
The Community Plot provides an area on the allotment site where plotholders can come together to sit and chat, swap ideas and generally socialise whilst taking a breather from the hard work of tending their plots.
Plotholders gathered and all enjoyed the pleasant weather and the food
and drink provided in abundance by a number of the members. Claire Shelton from Ageless Thanet planted a tree and Councillor Pauline O’Connor unveiled
a plaque to commemorate the occasion.
Big thanks to all who supported the project.
