     Regimental Reunion at Dorchester Barracks
A change of venue for the regimental reunion this year with the parade being hosted by C Coy 6 RIFLES at Dorchester Barracks.
The day was successful, due to the immense work undertaken by the team at Dorchester and the glorious weather. The morning commenced with the Annual General Meeting which was followed by the parade led by the Band of the Devonshire and Dorset Regiment, standard bearers and 200 members who marched to the Sports Field, where a
short service took place, remembering the Regimental Association, it’s members and those who had passed away. Three members were presented with their Presidential Awards by Lt Col Geoff Nicholls.
Those present were then able to enjoy good company, good food and good weather in the confines of the barracks, either in the Drill Hall or outside.
2023 Reunion will be held in Plymouth on the 20th May – venue to be confirmed.
 The League of Mercy Award
Established by Royal Charter in 1899 and re-established as a charity in 1999, the League of Mercy aims to recognise and honour the vital work undertaken by volunteers. The charity only awards 50 medals annually.
“By doing so we may develop public awareness of their work and encourage others to join them in giving up their time
to the volunteer care of those in need” said Lord Lingfield, President of the Charity.
Devonshire & Dorset Association Secretary, Tony ‘Drummie’ Cox was a worthy recipient of such an award in September 2021 and was nominated by the Army Cadet Force Association in recognition of his tireless work with the Cadets.
We are all very proud of his well- deserved achievement.
