WALK WAY
Helping Young Minds Trust
At the end of April, Tom Bradshaw and his dad Mark, are taking on the challenge of walking the Pennine Way raising money for Young Minds Trust.
This is a notorious route over the
backbone on England and they will
be covering the 268 miles over a planned 14 day period. Averaging 20 miles a day, self-supported (tents, sleeping bag, clothes, food, water etc) they will be walking from Edale (Derbyshire)
to Kirk Yetholm (Scotland) and taking in
some of the most beautiful, remote and rugged countryside the British Isles has to offer. This has been a life-long ambition for them both and there couldn’t be a better time to escape to the outdoors and connect with nature.
They’ve decided to raise money for Young Minds Trust, a wonderful charity committed to improving the emotional wellbeing and mental health of children and young people.
COVID-19 has caused huge changes to many of our lives and adaptations to new ways of living. This change hasn’t come easy for
everyone and I’m sure each and every one of us can be honest and say we, or others we know, have been impacted.
As Captain Tom quoted: “For all those people finding it difficult at the moment, the sun will shine on you again and the
clouds will go away”. We
believe that Young Minds will be at the heart of the recovery and support young people who are most in need. If you would like to support Tom and Mark’s fundraising then please donate using the QR tag link here. They hope
to raise over £1000 for the Young Minds Trust.
