2021 AGM
Our National AGM was held on Saturday 11th September 2021 at the Chapel Community Centre, Cross Houses, Shrewsbury. Our Chair Sandra Hall opened the 60th AGM and welcomed the approximately 50 members that were present. Sandra delivered her report which is also available on our website.
Our president Medwyn Williams addressed the AGM and asked members to stand to observe a minute’s silence to remember our fellow members who had sadly passed away. Jean Forrester pointed out that the audited accounts had been published in July Simply Vegetables Magazine and copies had been circulated prior to the meeting. No comments had been received regarding the accounts and the accounts were accepted and agreed from the floor with a show of hands alongside the continuing appointment of the independent examiner Cutler & Co. Chartered Certified accountants, Leeds. Fiona Shenfield had prepared the Annual Report of the Trustees, which she delivered to the AGM. Appreciation was extended to Mark Hall and Emily Plumb in recognition of the work both these

members survey were discussed in detail. Your survey responses will be sorted into themes and assigned as short-term, medium-term, and long- term objectives which will then be considered by the trustees. The survey feedback is also to be reviewed against our current development plan actions. Our Chair Sandra Hall will continue
to take ownership of the development plan with Support from the Vice Chair, Ian Stocks. It was noted that we need to encourage our members to login
to the website to access members benefits including growing leaflets. Further guidance is now included with this edition of the magazine.
Fiona Shenfield reported that Membership forms need to be updated to capture the new rolling membership system. It was agreed that only one version is required going forward with the membership registrar contact details and that
a bulk order be placed, funded by Trustees, and distributed to Branches and DAs. The design will be tweaked slightly to reflect our website look and feel and also to include a QR code.
