October is traditionally the month in which churches celebrate Harvest and this year is no different. We are planning an Apple Sunday celebration in St James churchyard on Sunday 6th October from 3.00pm with lots of apple related fun and games, a BBQ tea at 5.00pm with a bring and share apple dessert which can be entered into the Apple Bake competition before it’s eaten! The Women’s Felllowship started the HOPE Explored course in September but it’s not too late to join in – come along on Wednesday 2nd October at 7.30pm – you’ll be very welcome and course books are still available (£2).
The popular Indoor Market will be meeting in the Church Hall from 9.00am - 1.00 pm on Saturday 5th October with the opportunity to support the Motor Neurone Charity
Praise and Play looks forward to welcoming under 5s and their grown -ups from 9.00am - 10. 30am in St James Church. Look for the flag outside and come on in to meet new friends, sing, share a story, play and engage in a craft activity. It will be great to meet you.
The Men’s Fellowship will be meeting in St James Church on Wednesday 23rd October at 7.30pm for a Take away and Games Night. Check the website for more details or email tdichurches@gmail.co.uk.
Our other regular church activities continue so pop in and see us on a Tuesday or Saturday morning for coffee and a chat (10.00 am - 12 noon). You’ll be very welcome and it’s a good chance to meet new people. There is usually a short Communion Service in the Chancel on Tuesday mornings from 9.45am - 10.15am. Another popular place to meet and chat is Knitting on Monday evenings. No need to
book just come along to St James Church on Monday evenings from 6.30pm - 8.00pm. All ages welcome!

JAMES Club and JAMES Club plus for primary school age children meet on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Sundays in term time and our Youth Bible Study group, for those in secondary school, meets during the services on the 2nd and 3rd Sundays of the month. New members and visitors are always welcome. There are toys and activities for pre-school children who stay in the service with their families.
