2023 was a year of change as we appointed a new Secretary, Alan Robertson and a new Treasurer, Kenny Robertson. Unfortunately, changing the signatories on the bank accounts has not been easy and is still not resolved.
We held a joint Branch Gathering with the Glasgow Branch in Whitburn, West Lothian over the weekend of 21- 22 April which was very well attended including members of other branches from the south. We now look ahead to our next Gathering, possibly in late Spring 2024.
There was a fair turnout on Remembrance Sunday including the local Cadet Detachment at the Greys Memorial. Unfortunately, there was a bit of confusion about the event because, at one point, it had been suggested we should join in with the National Event at the City Chambers. Next year the event will definitely take place at the Greys Memorial on Princes Street.
We extend our sympathy and thoughts to Friends and Families of Members who have sadly passed away this year. The Branch also welcomes His Majesty The King as our Colonel in Chief.
