Syndicate C3 at a Static Display
The nal display at Old Carter Barracks was Sustainment, delivered by 101 Logistics Brigade. An informative, and sometimes deliberately humorous, illustration of the deployed supply chain from port to ghting formation aptly demonstrated the complexity of the logistics support process. Also displayed were medical, provost, engineering and Military Working Dog capabilities to complete a diverse showing of combat service support.
The Close element of the LCPV saw the 1st Battalion of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers (1RRF) and 1 Mercian, supported by the reserve 5th Battalion of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers (5RRF), conduct an impressive display of urban operations. An armoured in ltration of Copehill Down village preceded a dismounted urban combat demonstration, during which the maritime and air students were able
to witness, at close quarters, rooms being cleared of enemy forces. Again,
the students enjoyed the opportunity to talk with the soldiers, including many reservists, to understand their roles, motivations and challenges.

The CAMD was the perfect culmination to a busy and informative two days for the UK and international student cohort
The climax of the LCPV was an opportunity for students to get closer to heavy and light armoured vehicles of all variants, even some privately- owned legacy Soviet armour. This was achieved both in static displays and in the much-anticipated CAMD at Knighton Down. The CAMD simulated a company group attack on an enemy position, using armour, air and infantry capabilities to seize the objective. Live rounds and pyrotechnics effectively simulated the ferocity and volume of re from supporting artillery and an armoured attack. AH-64D Longbow Apache helicopters and a RAF Tornado GR4 also provided close air support and air interdiction to the attack, enabling ground forces to advance and successfully capture enemy infantry
