The Waterloo Dinner – 9th February 2017
Lt Col Adam Wolfe
THE ACSC 20 WATERLOO Dinner Committee were delighted that 350 guests from across the whole of the Defence Academy formed
British infantry squares and French cavalry lines to celebrate the Battle of Waterloo as the Land Forces dinner. The evening
celebrated this historic British victory in style and with some considerable support from the event sponsors. This was the third in the series of
ACSC led dinners; the Royal Navy and Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm had already set a high bar!
The fantastic support from Hewlett Packard Enterprises and Sympatec really made the evening achievable. Without their sponsorship, secured and coordinated by Ms Liz Richardson, the evening would have been a prohibitively expensive event for all. As a result of this support, the Foyer and Victory Dining Room looked superb after a combined effort by the committee, Kate O’Halloran’s Event Dressers and fellow ACSC 20 students’ time and energy to transform the venue into the battle scene.
