So, some of the Adventure Training accommodation scattered around the UK, and run [mostly] by the
DIO is pretty well known. Too much of it has been closed down [Kingussie, the Pathfinder Hut in Glencoe etc], but most people have heard of the Norwegian Lodge, or Halton Camp. But lurking in the far North West of Scotland is, perhaps, the jewel in the crown of AT accommodation; the Dundonnell Hut.

Refreshingly close to the Dundonnell Hotel, and [reassuringly] right next to the Dundonnell Mountain rescue Hut, this simple but comfortable hut is close to a huge amount of some of the best mountaineering in the UK. Summer and Winter, it offers access to a swathe of magnificent mountains, and a plethora of crags, large and small. I guess that the paddling and biking is good too, but I am no expert on these things.
The hut itself sleeps 23 in comfort, with five four-bunk and one three-bunk rooms, although under Covid regulations, it can only handle twelve people. There is a large common room/dining room, a small but efficient kitchen, ablutions with plentiful hot water, and a great drying room.
