The Grey Berets flying the flag!
WESSEX STORM. More recently more grey berets have arrived in CAMS with Major Lewis Ballard- Whyte taking over as SO2 Armoured Wing and Sgt Jhalak Thapa joining my training team as SI Lt Cav.
Particular mention should go to Light Cavalry Tactics Course 21-03 where 2Lt Will Fooks and Cpl Mcgrath won Top Officer and Top Student on the same course. For my first posting away from Regimental Duty, teaching the Light Cavalry Tactics Course has been a thoroughly enjoyable experience and provided a gentle step into the wider world of Defence, maybe partly due to the fact the Infantry Officers Mess still serve a cheese board at lunch time. The entire experience is in no small part due to the opportunity to work with fantastic Officers and Soldiers of RAC Cap Badges.
