in order to move on quickly to the next. Although carrying the ‘dreaded log,’ this was an enjoyable competition for the Troops, emphasising the importance of teamwork and leadership.
We have welcomed four newly qualified AAPTIs to the gym department this year and we congratulate Bdr Read (B Bty) on successfully passing the five day Royal Army Physical Training Corps Selection course. He will attend the nine-month RAPTC course at the Army School of Physical Training (ASPT) in Alder- shot. If successfully completed he will then transfer to the Royal Army Physical Training Corps.
The Regiment is now looking forward to the Inter Bty Boxing competition which is scheduled for November 24. This is a fan- tastic opportunity to show case our boxing talent within the Regi- ment and will no doubt be the highlight of the sporting calendar.
As I come to the end of my tenure at 1RHA it has been an immensely enjoyable and rewarding period of my career. I look forward to my final PT session where I’m sure the regiment will give me a great send off. I’d like to thank all my AAPTIs I have served with and the Regt for their continued support.
