and competitive mentality back into him, whilst also building his physical strength. Great support was given to him and his family,
boosting his strength to rebuild
his life.
So, in order to challenge our-
selves, 15 Platoon set the goal of
travelling as far as possible over a
six-hour period using any medium
of travel within the grounds of
RMAS. This might include cycling,
rowing, SkiErg, wattbike, run,
swimming and even leopard crawl
should they wish. The goal was at least to travel to The Somme and back, a distance of 728km.
15 Platoon completed this event on 1st April in the fresh air and sunshine in front of New Col- lege. Together they raised over £2500, with donations that are still increasing. This money will go towards helping other members of AFPST in their recovery whilst also helping family mem- bers. As well as raising money 15 Platoon and their permanent staff managed to rack up an astounding total distance of 1289.8km through running, cycling, swimming, rowing or using the
SkiErg in under six hours. That is the same as travelling to The Somme and back, and there
again!
We would like to thank all those who donated and to the members of 15 Platoon and permanent staff who helped raise so much money, as well as physically pushing themselves to get the distance in. Hot cross buns and Easter eggs well-earned, but Sovereign’s Platoon drill was quite difficult the next day...
By motivating, coaching and inspiring the athletes, their physical and mental health can be restored.
