Coy Academics Rep rather seriously, much to the loathing of my fellow Platoon members. In reality they don’t know how lucky they are; who wouldn’t want a briefing document on the Inte- grated Review the day before it was published!?
Overall, Juniors has been an amazing introduc- tion to the army and start of my army career. Despite the rollercoaster of emotions and the many late nights ironing, you make lifelong friends and learn lessons about yourself and your peers, which will put you in good stead for
any future challenge. I wouldn’t change my Jun- iors for anything, and I look forward to the chal- lenges I’ve yet to overcome here at Sandhurst.
As I start Inters, I now feel as if I have a wealth of knowledge about Old College; so, my top tips for future OCdts would be: bring reels of sniper tape, bags of plasters, a hot water bottle as you never quite know when the heating will work and to study the TAMS. Study the TAMS and you’ll have all the information needed to crack on!

Battle Proms Picnic Concerts
Battle Proms Picnic Concerts celebrate their 25th anniversary, 5th year partnering SSAFA, and over £500,000 raised for mili-
tary charities!
The Battle Proms are spectacular summer cel- ebrations bringing a feast of sublime music and dramatic Spitfire, parachute, cavalry, and firework displays to stately home gardens around the UK.
The Battle Proms team, keenly aware that many classical pieces such their signature piece, Bee- thoven’s ‘Battle Symphony’, were written to commemorate battles in which lives were lost, decided several years ago to use their concerts as a platform to support armed forces charities.
To date they have raised an incredible £504,600 through audience donations and contributions from concert profits. In 2018 they joined forces with: SSAFA - the Armed Forces charity, and in the last 5 years the partnership has raised over £169,000 for SSAFA’s vital work.
The Battle Proms returns this July, once again in support of SSAFA, with concerts at Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire (2 July), Burghley House in Lincolnshire (9 July), Hatfield House in Hertford- shire (16 July) and Highclere Castle – the ‘real Downton Abbey’! – in Hampshire (30 July).
