Unfortunately, our visit to Caley Brothers Mushrooms, planned for November, had to be cancelled owing to illness. It is hoped to re-arrange this for the Spring.
Our AGM is being held at Ashurst Village Hall on Wednesday March 13th when everyone is welcome. Your present Committee are all standing again, so no need to stay away in case you think you will be press-ganged into office. However, there is one free space on the Committee for anyone who would like to help. After the AGM our speaker will be Barry Newman FNVS on ‘Preparing for your Show’ with tips on how to present your exhibits to their best effect.
We are once again going to have a stand at the ‘Spring Live’ show at Ardingly on 20th and 21st April when we hope to have some plants and the usual NVS brochures and help leaflets for sale.
Sussex DA feel honoured that the National Championships are coming
to the South of England Agricultural Showground at Ardingly next September. We shall do everything possible to make it a resounding success with our other colleagues in Southern Branch.

NVS SOUTHERN BRANCH CHAMPIONSHIPS 2024
The NVS Southern Branch Championships will be on Tuesday 30th July – Thursday 1st August.
Staging will be 5-10pm on Monday 29th July and 6-8am on Tuesday.

in the Flower Show Tent.
Trophies will be awarded 4pm on
Tuesday at the show.
In line with Charity Commission
guidelines, there will not be a social evening. However, for those wishing to relax after the show and catch up with friends, there will be an informal gathering at the White Rabbit in Lyndhurst from 7pm on Tuesday evening. Refreshments at individual’s own expense.
After 4pm on Thursday an entry ticket is not required to collect exhibits.
