                                Mark Ashford has performed at many of the UK’s most prestigious music venues, such as the Wigmore Hall, the South Bank Centre, Fairfield Halls and the Queen’s Hall, Edinburgh. Performances have also taken him
to China, USA, the Caribbean and throughout Europe.
Pilton PCC is delighted to welcome two guitarists
together in the Vida Guitar Quartet. Their programme of Spanish Classical Guitar Music at Pilton will focus in particular on Suite Española, Opus
47 (Isaac Albéniz). It will also include pieces by Enrique Granados: Valses Poéticos Granados), Francisco Tarréga: Recuerdos de la Alhambra and Manuel

    Following on from its very successful concert, The Lark Ascending, at Pilton at the end of May; Pilton PCC is delighted to welcome
two guitarists with outstanding national and international reputations for its next concert, Suite Española, on Friday 30th August.
St George’s Bristol, King’s Place & The Sage, Gateshead. Her highly acclaimed performances at home and abroad have built up her reputation for sensitive musicality, fluid technique, and ability to draw the audience into her world
Mark and Amanda regularly perform
  As a concerto soloist, Mark has performed with several leading orchestras including the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, BBC Concert Orchestra, and the Turin Symphony Orchestra. He is currently Head of Guitar at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire.
Amanda Cook, dubbed “The guitar queen with a silken touch” by The Independent,
has appeared as a soloist in the USA, South America and throughout Europe. In the UK, venues include the South Bank, Wigmore Hall,
de Falla: La Vida Brève.
The performance will take place in the
beautiful rural Church of Pilton All Saints &
St Mary. All proceeds from the concert will go towards the maintenance of the Church which this year will include the restoration of our pipe organ.
