March is a busy month for the church family with Mothering Sunday on 10th March when we will be delighted to welcome you and your family to the Family Service at 9.30am. During Lent, we are running Lent groups on Thursday evenings in church from 7.15-9.00pm – it’s not too late to join in – check www.tdichurches.co.uk for up to date information.
On Good Friday, 29th March we will be running an Easter Workshop for children from 10am-12 noon in St James Church, no charge, but please no unaccompanied children. There will also be an Hour at the Cross in Denford
at 2.00pm. Last year the Easter Day Sunrise Service in Islip at 6.00am proved hugely popular so why not give it a try? Just don’t forget to put your clocks forward too! Later in the morning you are welcome to breakfast in St James Church at 9.00am before the 9.30am Easter Celebration Holy Communion.
During the week Praise and Play welcomes under-fives and their grown ups from 9.00- 10.30am on Monday mornings so come and join us and meet new friends. Look for the flag outside St James Church and come on in!
St James Church, Thrapston is always open on Tuesday and Saturday mornings from 10am-12 noon so pop in and have a coffee. It’s another good opportunity to meet new friends too. There is also a short Communion Service in
the Chancel on Tuesday mornings from 9.45- 10.15am.
Saturday 2nd March there’s the Indoor Market from 9.00am-1.00pm with new and familiar stalls to entice you. Knitting on Monday evenings is very popular – a good place to learn a new skill and make new friends. No need to book just come along to St James Church on Monday evenings from 6.30-8.00pm.
Sunday services are detailed below and there’s something for everyone including the increasingly popular 6@StNics (6am in March though!) which offers a more informal style of worship.

During Sunday services in St James, Thrapston, we run JAMES Club and JAMES Club plus for primary school age children. Our Youth Bible Study group for those in secondary school meets during the services on the 2nd and 3rd Sundays of the month. New members and visitors are always welcome. There are toys and activities for pre-school children who stay in the service with their families.
