Thrapston WI
Thrapston WI meet on the 1st Thursday of each month, at Thrapston Baptist Church. On the 7th March we have our Annual
Meeting, with a visitor from Northamptonshire Federation, we shall be discussing our programme for the coming year and electing our committee. This shall be followed by refreshments and social time, when we can catch up with friends and news.
On 4th April, Shireen Belly Dancers will
be visiting us to demonstrate their beautiful dance form. There will be an opportunity to participate, but this is optional. Please feel free to just come along and watch.
Our skittles team is going from strength to strength, and our walking group continues to meet regularly, whatever the weather.
We have an exciting programme planned for 2024, with a wide range of speakers and activities. Contributing to the wonderful Thrapston community is important to us,
and we continue to look for ways we can be involved. Summer will soon be here, and
we plan to participate in the annual Charter Fair. Recently, we took part in the Town Quiz organised by Thrapston Town Council. We came second! We have also been fund raising so that we can donate a bench to the Thrapston Nene Valley Park Project. We are also grateful to Islip Working Men’s Club for hosting an incredibly successful music quiz recently, which helped us reach our target. Thank you to everyone who helped make it happen.
Our meetings start at 7.30pm. Visitors fee £5.00 and refreshments are included.
