ROTARY CLUB NEWS
So much good news, and then more good news...
 Firstly good news! Providing there are no changes in covid rules before this article is published then the club intends to restart meeting in person in July. We will be meeting in a covid-secure way, and obeying whatever rules apply, but we are sure our members
are looking forward to actually seeing each other in person, rather than on a computer screen. We also hope that July will also see us continuing to be able to help at Grafham Water Sailability. The photo (right) shows members in the water waiting to retrieve a sailor and boat as it approaches the shore.
More good news! The last edition of Jigsaw included congratulations to our club Rotary Young Photographer winners, and their photographs were sent off to the Rotary District 1070 Competition. We now need to add
Club of Danetre, Daventry which is working with a Rotary Club in Nepal, and charity partner Renewable World, to deliver a project
    even more congratulations to Elizabeth Blackie. She has won the senior age category in that competition, along with a significant prize. You might have seen one of her photographs in the June issue. Her portfolio of three photographs has now been sent to
the Rotary Great Britain and Ireland Competition and we again wish her every success!
Rotary has seven areas of focus and “water, sanitation and hygiene” was a big feature
that will supply water and therefore sanitation and hygiene improvements to a remote community. The photos below illustrate how the project will work. The club has already raised 3/4 of the £12,000 target, but to reach this total it needs more financial support from individuals and organisations. Once they raise this amount they will be able to apply for grants that will cover the total cost of the project. Any offers of financial help would be very welcome and Bob, who will happily
