The churches of Thrapston, Denford and Islip are now (27.5.21) meeting on a regular basis in church buildings and it is great to see so many familiar faces behind the masks. There is no longer any need to book so please come along. All services are Covid compliant.
Online video services have ceased but a recording of the Sunday morning service is uploaded to the website each Sunday afternoon along with a separate recording of the sermon.

We have recently launched a new weekly half hour service for families of primary school age and younger. It is called the JAMES Club Service and it takes place in St James Church Thrapston at 9am every Sunday morning during term
time. Our time together includes a Bible story, game and question time. It is led by families, for families. If you need to know more see the website or contact Nolan on 01832 734614.
Praise and Play continues to meet online but we are hoping to meet in person before long. If you would like to join us on Zoom please email tdichurches@gmail.com for the link.
Our young people of secondary school age continue to meet in person on Thursdays and online on Sundays. Please email tdichurches@ gmail.com for information or a Zoom link.
This year 2021 marks 800 years since the first recorded Rector was appointed to St James Church, Thrapston. We are planning a church family celebratory picnic on the 18th July – check the website for details nearer the time.
Depending on the restrictions in place at the time, we are also hoping to have a concert in early September. Watch this space!
Saturday 11th September will be the Historic Churches Annual Ride and Stride. Please get in touch with Ray Banner 01832 730767 if you’d like to walk, ride or sponsor someone.

When there is no service in Denford, a service is available at either Thrapston or Islip, details of which can be found on the website www.tdichurches.co.uk. Booking is no longer required but we would ask you to wear a
mask and to observe Covid requirements. We look forward to seeing you again!
St. Nicholas Church, Islip
Things do seem to be getting back towards some sort of normal. It has been lovely to
have services together. We’re really looking forward now to being able to have hymns in church again. Singing at least one hymn outside towards the end of the service has been some consolation but the weather has not always been encouraging for this! We do miss, as well, having refreshments and a chance to chat and we hope for the best very soon.
