LIBRARY NEWS
The library is open again...
From May 17th, Thrapston Community Library has been allowed to open its doors to the public with restricted services.
Hands, Face and Space must be observed along with Track and Trace and booking a place is advisable but not essential. Two customers can browse for their own books at a time along with one family unit in the children’s area to select books only and one person can use the public computer. Returned books are still
being sanitised and quarantined for 72 hours.
If customers do not feel confident in returning indoors, Select and Collect, Call and Collect and Library to You services are still available.

The volunteers have added Thursday afternoon opening between 2.00pm and 5.00pm to their opening hours and the Library Facebook page is updated regularly with any changes.
A volunteer is needed
to promote and carry out children’s activities, when they are allowed to take place again. This position would suit a retired Primary School Teacher or a Learning Assistant and for anyone who is interested, please request an application form in the Library.
These can be physical books or eBooks, Audiobooks or eAudiobooks. They can be library books but they don’t have to be this year.
Resources will be available in Thrapston Library for the launch and are for children aged 4-12 years old only. They are not suitable for younger children. If children under 4 years old want to be challenged they can take part in the Bookstart Bear Club. If a child is due to turn 4 during the summer, they can take part in the Summer Reading Challenge.
A leaflet will be sent out to all schools in Northamptonshire with information about the challenge.
Due to the uncertainty around Coronavirus restrictions Library Plus libraries are planning online activities only at this stage.
