KB Premium Designs was launched by Kylie Ball in the summer of 2021, and they are currently celebrating their 3rd birthday!
What made you choose Thrapston? I live in Thrapston with my husband and two children, and I run the business from my small, in-house work studio. It’s one of my favourite places to be.
Plans to expand further? I would love to
have my very own shop one day, with space
to provide workshops and a community hub
for other creative sessions from other local businesses. However, that is more of a long-term goal as I quite like being a free bird and showing up in different places. For now I would love
KB products to be stocked in more local shops within the area, so if you have room for us I would love to hear from you.
Any colleagues or do you go it alone? I
am completely solo at present. I like working alone and being solely accountable, but I know
that the more I grow I’m going to need some help. With that said, I am looking forward to expanding in the near future and I look forward to creating a KB team!
Highlight of your day? Lighting a candle
at the end! Especially in the autumn/winter months. There is something so comforting with the flicker of a candle flame and the subtle aromas that congregate around you.
Describe your business in five words...
Luxury, elegant, premium, artisan-made, unique.
Most challenging part of the job? Putting up a gazebo! Honestly, you need some strength to pop up with your stall every weekend. Although I do really enjoy meeting new customers and travelling to new places to showcase my brand, it really is hard work setting everything up and I’m always on my own. I would much rather be pouring candles!
