November is the month of Remembrance and St James will be hosting the Thrapston Town Remembrance Day Service, which this year will take place at the earlier time of 10.30am. There will still be the traditional parade up the High Street led by Thrapston Town Band who will also be in church to accompany the hymns and play the ceremonial music.
The monthly Women’s Fellowship will meet in St James Church on Wednesday 6th November at 7.30pm to complete the HOPE Explored course. Even if you missed the first sessions come along and make some new friends. You’ll be very welcome and course books are still available (£2).
The popular Indoor Craft Market will be taking place in the Church Hall from 9am-1pm on Saturday 2nd November with the opportunity to support the Motor Neurone Charity.
If you go down to see the Town Fireworks on November the 5th, then take a diversion on your way home through the churchyard to have some free hot chocolate.
Praise and Play looks forward to welcoming under 5s and their grown-ups from 9am- 10.30am in St James Church. Look for the flag outside and come on in to meet new friends, sing, share a story, play and engage in a craft activity. It will be great to meet you.
The monthly Men’s Fellowship will be meeting in St James Church on Wednesday 27th November at 7.30pm for Catch up and conversations with an Astronomy talk. Check the website for more details or email tdichurches@gmail.com
On Saturday 30th November we will be joining in with Thrapston Christmas Lights Festival and we look forward to welcoming you into church for seasonal refreshments and some
Christmas craft activities during the afternoon and evening.
Our other regular church activities continue, so pop in and see us on a Tuesday or Saturday morning for coffee and a chat (10am-12noon). You’ll be very welcome and it’s a good chance
to meet new people. There is usually a short Communion Service in the Chancel on Tuesday mornings from 9.45am-10.15am. Another popular place to meet and chat is knitting on Monday evenings. No need to book just come along to St James Church on Monday evenings from 6.30pm-8.00pm. All ages welcome!
