RTT
Throughout 2021 the Rifles Training Team continued to ensure our Riflemen are training to the highest standards for in-role development and preparation for subsequent career courses.
Key members of the RTT have been trawled for overseas operations, namely Serjeant Major, WO2 Dan Collins, was trawled for a vital deployment to the British Overseas Territory, Turks and Caicos Islands to set the conditions for vital Defence Engagement in establishing an enduring Short Term Training Team to provide training and support to the newly formed defence force.
Despite staff changes during 2021, the RTT has maintained and even improved its high training standards. The Rifles Training Team has delivered twenty-six courses to over five hundred students who in turn have produced some fantastic results in various courses across the Army. The reputation of The Rifles
has continued to go from strength to strength and a large part of this has been due to the professionalism and diligent efforts of The Rifles Training Team staff.
Aside from the consistent stream of courses, the team managed to plan and conduct some much-needed adventurous training. Exercise Bold Bugle Canoeing was executed on the river Wye and was a great way for the staff to get something back and relax around the campfire in a social setting.
