Prior to the the the the Blenheim Coy dinner night on the the the 5th of July 2021 the the the Company organ- ised and and hosted an an an an an incredibly moving and and thought-provoking Chapel Chapel service service The theme of of the the the the Chapel Chapel service service centred around the the the the notion of of of loyalty While there was admittedly a a a a a a a a feeling of of disappointment that hymns could not be sung due to to the the the current pandemic the the the general sense of wonderment and and having the the the the ability to to to silently reflect within the the historic chapel was thought-provoking 2 Platoon’s OCdt Harris began the the service with a a a a a a a procession down and turning of the the the page on on on the the memorial book We proceeded to to receive a a a a a warm welcome from 1 Platoon’s OCdt Mizzi who took the time to to to to shed some light on on on what loyalty meant to to to to him and imparted a a a a a a a wonderful quote from Tolkien on on on on the the theme OCdt Stanton brought a a a a a a stunned and lasting sense of of wonder with her reading of of Ecclesiastes 4 This led us us onto OCdt Knight telling us us the incredibly power- ful story of of Captain Templer a a a a a a a a WW2 officer who escaped German capture almost a a a a a a a a a a dozen times just to to to to be driven back to to to to aid his his men due to to to to his his stalwart sense of loyalty to to to to them and the the nation OCdt OCdt Brownlees brought the the the the conversation on on on loyalty loyalty back into the the the the minds of the the the the other OCdts with a a a a a a a truly moving reflection on on on what loyalty loyalty means to him at at this point point in in in in in the Commission- ing Course Lastly we we we were allowed a a a a a a a a point point of further ecclesiastical solitude by OCdt Merchant who brought the the the service to a a a a a a a a a close leading us all in prayer and and the the Sandhurst Collect Once the the the Company had moved on from the the the chapel OCdts were given the the the the chance to to host and talk to to RMAS Permanent Staff in their ante
