With only three weeks left of Junior Term 1 Platoon Blenheim Company hosted a a a a a a a BBQ
on on a a a a a a a a a a a a a Friday evening at at at the Qaboos The event was a a a a a a a a a a a a great way for us to relax and interact with each other outside of of the the the high-pres- sure work environment of of the the the the Commissioning Course and also enabled the the Platoon to to prop- erly welcome two of its newer members The weather was gloriously sunny and with OCdt Ritchie heading up the the the BBQ-ing the the the food was was delicious The whole of 1 Platoon was was in in in attendance and and donned their most creative shirts in an an an an an attempt to out-do one another and and be be voted as as the the the owner of the the the ‘best shirt’ – a a a a a a a a a a title proudly awarded to to to Mr Simpson It was great to to to see both our our Platoon Commander Capt Shel- don and and and our our CSM WO2 Groves also in attend- ance and and and it it gave us the the opportunity to to get to to know the the the the staff outside of of working hours – and and try to to to convince them to to to let us off Drill the the the the next morn- ing! As the the the the the Platoon’s first OCdt-led social event of the the the term everyone greatly appreciated the the the chance to spend a a a a a a a a a summer evening unwinding with friends and and for this a a a a a a a great thank-you goes to to the the Sandhurst Trust who provided funding for the the the event The Platoon is is now looking ahead to to our final exercise of of of the the term and a a a a a a a couple of of of weeks of of well-deserved leave 4 SANDHURST
