Impressions of Sandhurst
Lt Col Malik (Jordan)
Ihad heard a a a a a a a a a a lot about the the the Royal Military Acad- emy Sandhurst
but I I never expected to to be chosen to to to represent my my country there Having
never even been to to to to the the UK before I I I I was was was so excited when I I I was was was told that I I I was was was to to to spend five months in in in one of the the oldest and most prestigious military institutes in in in the the World It was such a a a a a a a a great oppor- tunity to work at at an Academy from where some of the most prominent World leaders including our beloved king His Majesty King Abdullah II Bin Al Hussein of Jordan have graduated Anything may be be difficult in in in in fin the beginning but when you you find good people who support you you things become easier with time time During my time time at at Sandhurst
I had the opportunity to see many fascinating training activities some which are different from my my own experience but others that were more familiar Many things caught my my attention I was particularly impressed by the competitive spirit among the the the the OCdts assisting them them to to develop themselves in in in in in their own distinc- tive styles I also like how how the the the the the instructors continu- ally review training and how how they seek to to develop it it in in in in in in line with future requirements of course there are too many other things to to mention in in in in an an article of this length One thing that I did not expect to see before coming here is is how everyone at at Sandhurst
is is free to practice their own religion For exam- ple there is is a a a a a a a a a prayer room and an an Imam who administers the the the needs of Muslim OCdts We all appreciate how how this shows the the the great respect for International OCdts and the the the constant quest to provide them with a a a a a a suitable environment Finally I I would like to to thank all all the friends that I I made here in in in in this great institution and hope to to see them one day in in in Jordan ADVERTORIAL FEATURE
