Charter Fair 2025
Saturday 28th June – don’t miss it!
Have you booked your stall yet? Hopefully
most of the groups in Thrapston have been
invited to run a stall but if you haven’t
received your email invitation please
contact us on thrapstoncharterfair@gmail.
com as soon as possible.
This year as a country we will be
remembering the end of World War 2,
eighty years ago, so the Charter Fair will
be celebrating Armed Forces Day and
remembering the 1940s through song,
vehicles, exhibitions and more.
Booking for all stalls is now open
and the booking form is available
on the Charter Fair website – www.
thrapstoncharterfair.co.uk or by emailing
thrapstoncharterfair@gmail.com. We are
especially keen to hear from street food
providers and crepe makers.
If you run a business in the High Street
now is the time to start designing your
window and outside area – be creative!

VA runs a Befriending Service which supports
individuals who are isolated and struggling
with feelings of loneliness. The charity
supports people of state pension age or those
with disabilities or life-limiting illnesses who
live in Thrapston and the surrounding villages.
Do you know someone who is isolated and
could benefit from some extra company?
Could you be a Volunteer Befriender and
help those who are lonely?

Monthly social events also take place,
alternating between a Thrapston and an
Oundle location. These are for members of the
VA Befriending Scheme or the VA Transport
Scheme. However, you can just join the
Befriending Scheme as a ‘group event’ member.
Attendance is free. Please call the number

to register. The next event in Thrapston is on
14th April at 10.30am in the Café Room in the
Baptist Church. You are, however, also welcome
to the next Oundle event on 10th March.
