At the end of the day the instructor presented an abseiling challenge to the group. The challenge was to abseil into a blow hole, dangling in open space down onto the beach. I embraced the challenge with gratitude and felt really good to
have completed the test of bravery. After completing the day’s activities I felt a great sense of personal achievement and acquired a vast amount of knowledge about abseiling.
Celebration!!!!
On our last night in Castlemartin we decided to venture into town to relax after a stimulating week. We also celebrated Major Abu-Mughaisib’s birthday and treated him with some sugar free (?!) cake.
Overall we all had a delightful experience and would definitely recommend adventure training to all RADC soldiers and officers who desire a challenge and adrenaline rush. You will not be forced to do anything but will be encouraged to explore your capabilities, all in very safe conditions with awesome qualified staff and excellent kit.
