The Escape Rooms – Dhekelia Dental Centre Breakout!

On a balmy summer’s day in August, Dhekelia Dental team ventured into the heart of Ayia Napa. Unsure of what we were about to face, all we knew was that we would be locked up and would need to escape!
We found ourselves in a live action
game where we experienced a new kind of adventure, different to the daily adventures in the dental centre.
Split up into two teams and then locked
in a room, the time was against us. Each team had 60 minutes to find the clues, solve the puzzles and escape. There were two challenges - Rob the Casino and Escape the Asylum. So we challenged each team to find the way to escape first!
Major Payne (SDO), Lynne Morrison
(DN) and Captain Summers (DO) were all wrongly committed to the torturous Asylum. Accused of being insane, Major Payne was chained to a chair! It was down to Lynne and Captain Summers to free the SDO, finding the clues and piecing together the puzzle as quick as we could! Time was ticking for us all to escape before the crazy doctor came back! Shrieks of joy and anguish as code breaking and cryptic clues led us to yet another lock or dead end.
The final clue taking over 15 minutes to solve involved a chess board, blacked out numbers and a word daubed in invisible ink, only viewable under UV light, on the wall!
Meanwhile an opportunity had arisen next
door. A chance to Rob the Casino! Sergeant Firby (PM), Vasuolla Vasiliou (DN) and Yasmin Alhaddad (DH) worked as a team, also following the clues and finding the codes to break into the vault! They successfully stole the money and got out 3 minutes before police arrived!
The adventure of Breakout is enthusiastic, not dangerous and does not require any
physical skills. Suitable for all ages, under 12s go in for free. We all came away buzzing with excitement and happy to have seen different skills from our co-workers. This was an exciting group activity that would appeal to many.
