 Despite some
excellent performances
from the team, it
was Sgt Gotora who
gave the stand out
performance and our biggest cause to cheer by volunteering for the 2000m steeplechase event to help the team standings. The steeplechase is a challenging technical
event with big hurdles and a deep water jump; to tackle this after only 20 minutes of practice demonstrated courage and selfless commitment, values and standards we should all aspire to uphold.
supporting the release of individuals for the team, your support is greatly appreciated.
Interested in representing the RADC in athletics?
As our Corps becomes smaller, events such as this bring us together engendering RADC team spirit and camaraderie across our geographical boundaries. I am looking forward to developing our RADC Athletics Team for next year’s event. It would be fantastic to see a stronger (and larger) RADC team for 2018 to join together, demonstrate the talent our Corps has to offer and show the rest of the AMS how proud we are to be Officers and Soldiers of the RADC.
Whether you are a talented athlete, enthusiastic amateur or just looking to develop in a particular athletics event please contact Maj Sarah Armstrong or WO2 Cheryl Blackwood for more information.
Support came throughout the day and was greatly appreciated by our athletes.
Maj Padgett-Duncan brought along 1yr
old Hugo the RADC’s youngest athletics supporter and an impressive array of
snacks and drinks to keep morale high. Col Commandant and Maj Sharp cheered on our relay teams and Col Davies valiantly took up the role of team photographer for much of the day.
A huge well done and thank you to all our RADC athletes who gave up their time to
