Charity in the community
Putting her best foot first – Katharina does feet for charity
Greetings to you all. My name is Katharina, although most people just call me Kat. Let’s face it, it is easier that way and I sure can hiss if need be. I live in the village of Woodford and run a mobile foot clinic and offer different holistic therapies as well.
For a long time I’ve been looking for ways to raise money and to help people in the community. As a fully trained Foot Health Practitioner, or ‘Foot Lady’ for short, I figured it might be a good idea to use my training to do so.
I would like to offer basic foot care, which means nails clipping and filing and removal of a painful corn or two for just a fiver, which is, lets be honest, cheaper then all services
I know of, including my own. But then, the money will be split, some will go into my personal pocket and the rest will go towards my chosen charities.
We live in a society where everyone looks after themselves first, and I don’t like it. That’s why I’ve decided to be a bit of a rebel and do things MY way.
I have 4 dates in November where I’ve booked the St James church hall. If I am successful, meaning I’m not sitting there in my own sweet company for two hours at a time, I would like to offer this service long term.
If you’re wondering what charities I am supporting, let me assure you that I’m
not supporting the ME charity but at this moment I’m collecting money for a teenager from Raunds, whose dream it is to visit Disneyland Paris. The mother is going
with him next year, thanks to a charity that pays for the trip. I would like to raise some spending money for them. I also support Amnesty International and the WWF.
