Operation Christmas Child
Thank you for helping us to bring joy around the world with our Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes filled with goodies
We have just completed our two day Pack
a Shoebox Campaign. We made over 400 boxes filled with wonderful items and all with the £5 transport costs paid. We hopefully will be making another 50 in the next week so if you feel you would like to sponsor one for £5 [to cover transport costs] please contact me on 01832 730019.
We have wonderful volunteers who helped us, fantastic people who sew and knit for us, and amazing people who donate items to us.
Our two day packing party was supported by many people who came along and enjoyed the experience. I watched as people put a lot of time and thought into what they put into their box. We only put out what we know is allowed in the boxes and encourage you to fill your box with essentials and fun things. We believe our boxes contain the most beautiful hand made articles.
Thanks to all who made and paid for a
box and thank you to those who sponsored a box made up by our team.
A big thank you to St James Church for the use of the Church-we filled it with love and joy and 400 boxes.
Next year we will do the first Saturday in November from 10am-4pm. Look out for future days for our Coffee Morning / Workshops.
We always need donations of tooth- brushes, soap ,small cars, small games, solar calculators, dynamo torches and anything suitable that will fit in a box. Also donations of wool are always useful.
These boxes will bring a smile to many children and show the love of others thousands of miles away.
May God bless our boxes as they start their journey and may the child who receives any one of them be blessed.
