The Wilding Airfield
   The Wilding Airfield is a new venture based only 5 miles outside of Oundle on the site of rewilded WW2 Polebrook Airfield – now a private nature reserve.

Fin and Joanna therefore ended
up settling on low density luxury cabin/treehouse accommodation. This enabled guests to appreciate the amazing site while having a negligible impact on the surrounding wildlife while enjoying a great deal of privacy.
Fin was born and brought up
at Polebrook Airfield so when the
opportunity arose to purchase half of
it, he and his wife Joanna jumped at the chance to buy. Fin’s parents (Wanna and Barney) at the same time purchased the other half. It was an emotionally driven prospect, done with very strong notions to protect the wide variety of habitats and biodiversity onsite.
The design for the cabin and treehouse came about in conjunction with Devon based design/ build contractors Lifespace Cabins. Founder Jamie Wilson shared Fin and Joanna’s ambition for the highest quality spaces complementing natural settings, the key being that the spaces
