Ex WHITE KNIGHT
EX WHITE KNIGHT is the annual RAC/ AAC downhill ski training exercise and Alpine Championships held in Verbier, Switzerland. The QDG attended this year with a 10 man team, 8 of whom were novices. Upon arrival in Verbier no time was wasted, and training began imme- diately. Individuals were grouped based on ability and were each assigned world class instructors from the Ecole Suisse de Ski. The instructors had quite a task, to take complete novices and develop them to a racing standard in under 3 weeks, yet they managed it, with every indi- vidual competing in the downhill racing. All team members achieved respectable times in the races but a special congrat- ulations to LCpl Brewster who seeded highest of the team.
On top of the skiing, each Regiment was responsible for organising and hosting a social, with the QDG being assigned Christmas day. We once again
turned to our friends at the Snowpark,
who have kindly let us use their facilities the competition began, with Regiments for a number of years now, and hosted being judged on their composure, a Regimental jump competition. After a commitment and flair. Each Regiment
