COVID was of course rearing its ugly head at times, but was well managed by the Exercise staff. Despite restrictions the HCR/HCMR were able to host their notorious NYE party which was thor- oughly enjoyed by all, including multiple American tourists who happened to
be walking by. The exercise sponsors, without whom
the exercise
would not occur, were still able to attend race week which allowed the team the pleasure of hosting a former QDG, Kelvin Thomas from General Dynamics.
The marked improvement in all team members’ skiing ability is notable, but further to this, each skier has shown an increased confidence both in the face of physical fear and in a social capacity, as well as demonstrating a high level of teamwork skills and self-discipline. Ex WHITE KNIGHT has been a great tool for
development, and has provided the team with an experience they
will cherish.
