All Hallows – Leading the Way
All Hallows is a school radiating warmth and vibrancy which has long been a favourite with military families for its home from home feel and strong community, strong academic results and superb extra- curricular activities.
It is known nationally as one of the leading Catholic, Co-educational, Boarding and
Day, fully independent Preparatory Schools taking children from 3 to 13 and was rated as Outstanding by ISI in 2014. Situated in 25 acres surrounded by open countryside and farmland, the school is close to the cities of Bath, Wells and Bristol.
At the heart of All Hallows’ success is a vision aimed at nurturing each individual
and developing the ‘whole child’ through cutting edge education and rich and varied experiences underpinned by the unswerving certainty that Christian values are paramount.
Creativity
Creativity is the heartbeat of All Hallows. All Hallows was an early adopter of the IPC (International Primary Curriculum) which
is taught with great success in the Junior Department. Thematic learning and innovative curriculum ideas pervade throughout the school. Music, Art and Performing Arts are
a great strength of the school and a new Creative Centre opened in September 2014 further enhancing opportunities. The Saturday Enrichment Programme encourages children to move out of their comfort zones and try
a range of experiences such as the Exmoor Youth Challenge, Sports Leaders Awards, Music Production with professional Musicians, Digital Photography and Animation.
Academic success from individualised learning
All Hallows is non selective on entry and very proud of the resulting outcomes for children leaving at Year 8. Each year, approximately 60% of children receive awards to senior schools – Academic, Sport, Music, Drama and All Rounder Awards. All Hallows has
an educational psychologist as Director of Learning, which drives the child-centred approach to learning and subsequent high results.
Sport & the Great Outdoors
In terms of Sport, All Hallows children perform very well nationally within the Independent Schools sector thanks to a large, specialist team of coaches and a wide range of opportunities. There is an extensive outdoor education programme on offer and pupils bene t immensely from the on-site nine-acre Forest School.
