Emergency food help
The Trussell Trust supports a network of more than 1,300 food banks throughout the UK, including Stamford and Oundle Foodbank, who run a food bank centre based at Oundle Methodist Church. We provide emergency food and support to people experiencing poverty, and campaign for change to end the need for food banks in the UK.
to people like Aneita, and 832,000 of these parcels went to children. More recently, with the ongoing cost of living crisis, we have seen the need for emergency food soar with the average usage at Stamford and Oundle foodbank increasing by 6% each quarter.
In order to get help from a food bank you
  The food banks in our network welcome and support everyone who is referred to them, always acting with respect and without judgment. Volunteers will give a minimum
of three days’ emergency food and offer support to resolve some of the difficulties you might be facing.

Oundle Foodbank has recently supported is Aneita, who was working in education when
a problem with her tax credits meant she was forced to use a food bank. “I was suddenly plunged into a financial nightmare, not knowing how I was going to pay my bills, feed myself
and my daughter, and buy things we needed.
I remember sitting in the waiting room, with my daughter, waiting to be given a food parcel.
I was holding back my tears, not wanting my daughter to see me upset, and thinking ‘how has it got to this?’”
Last year food banks in our network distributed more than 2.1 million food parcels
provide support to maximise your income, help you navigate the benefits system, and identify any additional grants you could be entitled to. If needed, they’ll issue you with a voucher so you can get an emergency food parcel from your local food bank.
